This February’s “Coffee with a Cop” program in Storm Lake Iowa was a memorable experience for one resident at our Faith Hope & Charity division. Malik a friend and fan of the Storm Lake Police Department had recently expressed his interest in becoming a police officer. The Storm Lake PD brought this to life on Monday February 17 and included him as an honorary police officer in their monthly “Coffee with a Cop” program.

Malik joined police officers in greeting community members at the Storm Lake Bakery and also assisted in delivering donuts to area businesses. “I enjoyed chatting with the officers. They made me feel good like I was part of the police department ” comments Malik. “I like to be with other people and help them.
