Direct Support Professionals are essential to supporting people with disabilities in our communities!

To recognize the accomplishments and contributions made by Direct Support Professionals to the lives of people with disabilities Hope Haven is celebrating Direct Support Professional Recognition (DSP) Week September 13 to 19.

This year has been unique for organizations providing direct care support and unprecedented challenges have prompted new responses to how services are carried out.

“Day by day and interaction by interaction Hope Haven’s Direct Support Professionals bring joy blessing and independence into people’s lives. This year with Covid that’s only been more obvious than before ” said Hope Haven CEO Matt Buley. “Our staff have stepped up even more than they already had been. I’m incredibly proud of and thankful for our Hope Haven DSPs. We wouldn’t be Hope Haven without them.”

Hope Haven employs more than 450 DSPs and serves individuals in Northwest Iowa and Southwest Minnesota communities.
