Hope Haven DSP Float Kathy Matthiesen has received a 2020 IACP DSP Award. Kathy has been a Hope Haven employee for seven years and was nominated in a number of different areas.

“Kathy does an excellent job working in the residential homes with all of our clients. She is a float which means that she fills in at any of the waiver houses that we need her to work in ” said Community Living Manager Danette Tolan in Kathy’s nomination. “She has worked in 9+ houses in Spirit Lake 4 waiver houses in Sibley and 5+ waiver homes in Rock Valley. She…adapts quickly to their styles and assists them in all of their needs and will assist them with anything from just sitting down and talking through a difficult time to jumping in and assisting someone with physical cares.”

Kathy will receive a plaque award to commemorate her recognition.
